What it does

Exhaust gas spins a turbine that packs intake air.

On the exhaust manifold outlet.

Not a diagnosis. Interval and part number: the manufacturer’s schedule.

Common signs

  • A whistle, blue smoke, no boost.
  • Oil feed and a hot idle before shutdown matter.
